About Us
A women-led community network strengthening leadership, participation, wellbeing, and neighborhood action across East Jerusalem.
Our Story
Mini Active began in 2012 as a grassroots initiative led by Palestinian women in East Jerusalem. It grew into a network connecting women across 16 neighborhoods, helping residents identify local priorities, organize collectively, navigate public services, and turn community needs into practical action.
Our Approach
We start with the priorities women identify in their own communities. Mini Active combines local leadership, practical tools, peer networks, training, and sustained follow-up so women can move from identifying a problem to taking informed action.

What We Work On
Our work spans civic participation, health and wellbeing, education and professional training, environmental action, community initiatives, youth and children’s activities, and awareness campaigns such as Pink October.
A program of the Jerusalem Intercultural Center
Mini Active is a program of the Jerusalem Intercultural Center (JICC), a Jerusalem-based nonprofit that advances an inclusive city through practical community work, equitable access to services, and cooperation across Jerusalem’s diverse communities.
